Like all professions, makeup artistry has it’s share of professional rivalry.  I am not opposed to healthy competition — may the best person win.  I’m totally supportive of  colleagues  who help you to stop procrastinating, being complacent, who push you to do better and motivate you to higher achievements.  I have a BIG problem when that healthy competition turns toxic and escalates to deceit, sabotage, marginalization and exclusion.
