I’m in the architectural industry, still working my way up, has been doing so for 4 years on now. I am too, surrounded by idiots (regardless of age) that are too cool to actually be an architect and just call themselves one. If you have a problem with your fellow MUA ranting to no end, then I have a problem listening to my fellow ‘architects’ boasting about how they aspire to be the next Zaha Hadid, how they are destined for greatness, yet refuse to actually learn about materials or how to build their crazy-ass design. Umm, hello – architects don’t just design, they oversee the whole process, from design to actual construction.

Problem is, sometimes they get under my skin, make me think i’m not good enough because I don’t think all those big thoughts but you’re right, don’t sweat the so-called ‘hobbyists’, those who can talk big usually are just that, big talkers.
